The general aim of this project is to assess the impact that virtual reality might have onto movements in a 3D motion lab during baseline testing of n=200 professional athletes. Furthermore, the value of VR in return-to-play testing will be assessed. It will be analyzed, whether the implementation of complex, reactive and divers scenarios using VR will unmask motion patterns, which put the athlete at risk for an injury. This test battery will be applied to healthy athletes in preseason (baseline) and to all of these athletes that suffer a relevant injury during the upcoming season 2022/23.
