In recent years, the understanding of dynamic cortico-subcortical functional networks has led to a paradigm shift in neuroscientific research. The idea of plastic networks also implied that functions could "move" due to a pathology. The project will analyze the incidence of such reorganizations and the dynamics of glioma-induced functional reorganization. The detection and understanding of functional reorganization opens up further possibilities in surgical resection. The establishment of a non-invasive tool for the detection of individual functional reorganizations will lead to a better resection and thus to a proven better quality of life and longer survival for patients.
