The scientific focus of the Dresden Else Kröner Research College is phosphoproteom-dynamics. Under the scope of this overarching topic the scientific priority areas of the Dresden medical campus oncological, metabolic and neurological / psychiatric disorders, can be summarized. Besides the identification of kinases and phosphatases as novel target structures the fellows of the research collage aim for the development of innovative agents and the transference of approved pharmaceuticals into other medical fields (reverse translation). Currently 9 medical centres and 10 research institutes participate in the research collage and host fellows. Furthermore three partner institutions at the King`s Collage London are involved within the framework of the transCampus initiative.
