Worldwide there is increasing incidence of inflammation, autoimmune and chronic inflammatory diseases. Depending on the severity and organ manifestation, the consequences of inflammatory reactions range from restrictions in quality of life to severe, life-threatening complications. Existing therapies are often unspecific and can sometimes trigger serious side effects. Therefore, the aim of the iPrime CS program is the development of novel, specific, and mild side-effect therapeutic approaches. Clinician Scientists develop a scientific question from a clinical observation and translate the results from scientific research back to the clinic.
