This research project tests an innovative approach, in which high radiation doses are focused to the tumor bed to elicit systemic effects against glioblastoma, a highly malignant brain tumor. This approach has now become feasible due to the availability of novel technology, such as low energy intraoperative radiotherapy and novel drugs, such as immune checkpoint inhibitors.
