Many people come to the northern Indian city of Chandigarh to find a better life. Instead they experience a lack of hygiene, an insecure housing situation and great poverty. The situation is particularly severe for children and young people. The local partner of Jugend Eine Welt - the Don Bosco Navjeevan Society - provides important medical care for the underprivileged and marginalized people in need. For them the clinic on wheels is the only way to receive medical care at all. The acquisition and equipping of a bus as a mobile clinic for the region is highly important – especially in times of the Covid-19 pandemic. The mobile staff members hand out food packages to the people and educate them about the dangers of the corona virus and corresponding protective measures.
