According the Global Health Observatory data from the WHO, cardiovascular problems and diabetes are among the four leading causes of death from non-communicable diseases worldwide. The lack of diagnosis and care for NCD in Cambodia is a serious and threatening issue for public health. Despite a slow realization of the situation, national authorities are currently unable to create and implement enough solutions. Regarding mental health, after the drastic destruction of mental health infrastructures by the Khmer Rouge communist regime, mental health patients’ needs have been growing but are facing inadequate treatments. The Project aim to offer 6 494 people, especially the vulnerable groups, access to the highest quality of Comprehensive NCD services through promotion, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
